Anthony R. Bowrin, Ph.D. is Professor of Accounting and Dean with the College of Business and Management, Saginaw Valley State University. His research focuses on corporate governance, internal controls, and financial reporting quality. His work has been published several leading academic journal including Accounting Education: An International Journal; Advances in International Accounting; Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal; Journal of Accounting Literature; Journal of Business, Finance and Economics in Emerging Economies; Journal of Accounting in Emerging Economies; Managerial Finance; and Journal of Co-operative Studies. He is a member of the American Accounting Association (AAA), the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) – USA), Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), and the International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER). Professor Bowrin has also been involved in consulting and training for businesses and credit unions throughout the English-speaking Caribbean. Additionally, he has served as a director of several organizations including the U.W.I. School of Business and Applied Studies Limited – ROYTEC (executive); the U.W.I. Credit Union Cooperative Society Limited; Cable News Channel 3 (CNC3); Trinidad Broadcasting Company Limited; and the Caribbean Court of Justice Trust Fund (CCJTF).
