Biography

As an alum of the BSN and MSN programs at SVSU, it is an honor to now be a member of the nursing faculty. My current role in the C.M. Lange College of Health and Human Services is that of practicum coordinator for the Senior II and RN to MSN students. My clinical areas of interest are primarily community and public health focused. Particular areas of interest are that of family and adolescent health, especially areas of social and health issues pertaining to the poor and those without a public voice. My scholarly interests are in the areas of urban and rural health. I am also an active member of the Cardinal Club and enjoy SVSU football and basketball. In addition, my areas of research interest include HIV/AIDS. Most recently I completed a post-graduate certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and work as a Nurse Practitioner in an Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease practice caring for persons living with HIV/AIDS.
