Biography

Hello! I have worked within the Office of Admissions for almost eight year in a variety of duties incluing recruitment, large event planning, and visiting high schools. Currently, I am assigned to Saginaw, Arthur Hill, Bridgeport, and Carrollton High Schools. I also visit other non-traditional schools within Saginaw County. I work with various cohorts of people looking at attending SVSU including military, non-traditional, and domestic-international.

I graduated from SVSU with a B.A. in Criminal Justice/Youth Services, M.A. in Organizational Administration Leadership, and a Teaching Certification in Secondary Education. While a student at SVSU, I was very active in the Hispanic Student Association, Sigma Delta Pi, an Orienation Leader, and worked as a student worker in the Minority Student Office.

I was born and raised in Saginaw and love my community. I serve on several boards and committees and very involved in The American G.I. Forum of Saginaw, Nosotros Magazine and St. Joseph Catholic Church. I am a recent graduate of Leadership Saginaw County and recently named one of the Top 50 Latinas in the State of Michigan.

I believe in encouraging the pursuit of education and would be happy to answer any questions you have about SVSU or education, in general.
